Day 1 – Arrival to Cusco and Cusco Walking Tour

  • On arrival in Cusco, assistance at the airport and transport to your hotel, where the rest of the morning is free time to rest in hotel in order to avoid altitude sickness.
  • Pick up from the hotel at 14:00PM.
  • Your walking tour will begin in the San Blas neighborhood, which is the home to many artists and a church which contains intricately carved woodwork. You will go down the narrow stairs on Hatun Rumiyoc Street. The Inca Roca palace is located on this street and is also called Palacio Arzobispal. The walls of the palace have a snake and puma on it. Moreover, there you can observe the well-known 12 angle stone which is a symbol of perfection in Incan Architecture.
  • Then, you will go to Cusco’s Main Square, Plaza de Armas. Upon entering this Cathedral, you will see beautiful woodwork and many colonial paintings that contain detailed Incan iconography.
  • After, you will visit the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), an old Incan palace and main worship center for the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church called the church of Santo Domingo over this temple’s foundations, which still stands there today.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco.

Day 2 – Cusco Horseback-Riding Tour

  • Pick up from the hotel at 09:00AM.
  • You will be driven a 20-minute scenic distance to the horse ranch. You will be assigned your horse upon arrival and provided a helmet (optional). You can trot on the breath-taking countryside on the city´s outskirts and absorb the ancient atmosphere which makes you gain perspective into the way the Inca people used to live several centuries ago. You can then pass through the conventional Andean villages and witness locals lost in their daily routines.
  • You then trot to the Temple of the Moon, which is a historic Incan ceremonial site. From here you can also see splendid views of Cusco.
  • After you have explored the archeological site close to the temple, you can leave your horse there and return to the hotel in Cusco by private transport.
  • This is the best adventure activity for families to explore the wonderful sites surrounding Cusco!

Day 3 – Mountain biking at Sacred Valley

  • Breakfast at hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:30AM and transfer to Sacred Valley.
  • Our tour cycling begins in Cruzpata, a small town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, following a trail that leads to Huaypo Lagoon and to the Incan botanical laboratory at Moray. The area is so large that at least 3000 plant varieties, including potatoes and corn, could have been grown.
  • Back on the bikes, we move to the town of Maras, we will then head to visit the biggest salt pans in the region that have been mined continuously since the Incan Empire. You will stop there for a delicious picnic lunch.
  • After this brief rest, it’s all downhill around 30 minutes until you reach Pichingoto. Cross the bridge over the Urubamba River which is the end of the enjoyable day ride.
  • Transfer to Ollantaytambo; we will take our private transportation to Ollantaytambo from where we catch the train to Aguas Calientes.
  • Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, reception and transfer to your hotel.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Aguas Calientes.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Box-Lunch.

Day 4 – Sunrise in Machu Picchu & Train back to Cusco

  • Breakfast at the hotel; at 05:00AM take first bus to Machu Picchu citadel, you will ride a bus to Machu Picchu archeological site and tour every nook and cranny of this New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site: an unforgettable experience.
  • Your guide will expertly direct you throughout the astounding ruins and its main streets. You can then wander around the town squares as well as climb the intricately carved stairways made of stone. Machu Picchu is considered as the world’s spiritual center by esoteric wisdom. Once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate.
  • You will then have the time and opportunity to indulge in a few of the following activities on your own (not included in the price):
    • Climb up Huayna Picchu Mountain and appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu from there.
    • You will be given some time to walk till the Sun Gate or Inti Punku.
    • Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes include a visit to the new local museum or to the hot springs.
  • Back to Cusco: You will descend to Aguas Calientes and, later on, board the train for the return trip to Cusco. On reaching Cusco train station, reception and transfer to your hotel.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco.

Day 5 – River Rafting at Urubamba River

  • Breakfast at hotel; you will be picked up from your hotel at 08:45AM and will be driven around one hour to the shores of Upper Urubamba River that has a private campground called Cusipata River Camp.
  • Our Professional Rafting Guides, provided by us will tell you some safety tips and will provide you with the appropriate rafting equipment. You will float for about two and a half hours while running rapids of class II and III. In the rainy season that occurs from December to early March, you may see rapids of class IV and IV plus.
  • You will then be taken to the Cusipata River Camp for a hot sauna and then a hot shower and delicious lunch.
  • You can also so a Zip-line on the 4 cables above the river if you wish to. In the afternoon you will be picked up by our private transportation and driven back to the city of Cusco.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco.

Day 6 – Departure from Cusco – International Departure

  • Breakfast at hotel; at the scheduled time our representative will meet with you at hotel lobby, transfer and assistance on your departure.
