Day 1

International Arrival in Lima

  • Lima Airport Transfer: Arrive in Lima at any time. Our representative will be waiting for you at Lima airport with a customized sign with your name on it and private transfer to your hotel.
  • There are no planned activities, so check into the hotel and rest up.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Lima.

Day 2

Lima Gastronomic tour and Walking Tour

  • Breakfast at Hotel; pick up from the hotel at 09:00am. This culinary adventure will begin with a visit to the local market. You will see, smell, taste, and experience the infinite variety of textures, colors, aromas, and flavors.
  • Then, we will take you to our cooking studio where you will have a “hands-on”, learn more about Peruvian cuisine and prepare delicious local dishes. You will make an authentic Peruvian dish to tantalise your tastebuds and later enjoy your achievements.
  • You have to choose 4 options; FISH; "Sudado de Pescado" steamed fish (Main Course) or Peruvian National dish called "Ceviche". CHICKEN; "Aji de Pollo" in English chili chicken (Main Course) or "Papas a la Huancaina". MEAT; "Lomo saltado" (Main Course) or "Causa Limeña".
  • Vegetarian option; "Pimento Relleno" (Main Course) and "Solterito".
  • At the end we will enjoy the lunch prepared by ourselves.
  • At 14:00pm pick up and transfer to Lima historical center. We'll take you to a fascinating walking tour. We will show you Palaces and castles our city hides, we also going to take you to our great Saint Francisco Monastery and the impressive underground Catacombs!
  • Also we visit "The Main Square", Archbishop's Palace and the Municipal Palace, other great places you will visit are; the train station Palace, unique old fashioned "Cordano Bar", colorful mansion palaces, Jiron del Union Pathway, Post Office Palace, Dominicans tower, Historical Rimac Bridge and lovely surrounded wooden Balconies and the next big project in the City the Under river subway.
  • Our historical center is considered a World Heritage protected by the UNESCO; we will show you the Original Spain Mansion Palace and enjoy its great collection of 18th Century paintings, its impressive sculptures, wooden varandas, trendy gilded mirrors and great original terrace. After the tour we will take you back to your hotel.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Lima.

Day 3

Flight to Cusco and transfer to Sacred Valley visit Pisac

  • Breakfast at hotel; pick up from the hotel at 06:00am and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas.
  • Upon arrival to Cusco, our guide will be waiting for you. From the airport you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley. We stop at Pisac town where you will have delicious lunch.
  • After lunch you will visit Pisac market and site, the ancient Incan archeological site and city is located on the top of a mountain. There you will have the chance to firsthand witness the impressive stonemasonry skill of our ancient ancestors.
  • Afterwards, you will go down into the quaint little town and wander through its colorful market where you can buy intricate, beautifully crafted locally hand-made products.
  • Then transfer to your hotel located at Sacred Valley of the Incas.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Sacred Valley.

Day 4

Moray & Maras Terraces of Salt

  • Breakfast at hotel - pick up from your hotel at 09:00am. You will set off on the road to Moray archeological site (3176m/10419ft). This site houses enormous circular and Pre-Incan semi-circular agricultural terraces that were constructed with the intention of being used as a botanical laboratory to carry out experiments on plant domestication and foreign crop acclimatization. The area stretches so long and widely that at least 3000 plant varieties, including potatoes and corn, may have been grown there.
  • Afterwards, we will carry on visiting the largest salt pans in the region “Las Salineras de Maras” that have been mined continuously, dating all the way back to the Incan Empire. This site has been exploited since the time of the Incas as a source of economic exchange.
  • After visit this place, return to your hotel.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Sacred Valley.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Box-lunch.
Day 5

Ollantaytambo site and train to Aguas Calientes

  • Breakfast at hotel - pick up from your hotel at 10:00am and transfer to Ollantaytambo town.
  • Today you will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, a military, religious, and agricultural center of the Incas located at the top of a mountain. Note: unlike other small towns, this one has maintained its original Incan design including outstanding stone buildings and narrow streets. It was once used as a fortress, administrative and urban center.
  • Before take train to Aguas Calientes you will take lunch at local restaurant.
  • Then you will make our way to the Ollantaytambo train station where we will catch the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Day 6

Visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu & Back to Cusco

  • Breakfast at the hotel; at 06:00am take bus to Machu Picchu citadel, you will ride a bus to Machu Picchu archeological site (2,430m/7,972ft) and tour every nook and cranny of this New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site: an unforgettable experience. Your guide will expertly direct you throughout the astounding ruins and its main streets.
  • Around 07:30am the guided tour begins, your guide will expertly direct you throughout the astounding ruins and its main streets. You can then wander around the town squares as well as climb the intricately carved stairways made of stone. Machu Picchu is considered to be the world’s spiritual center by esoteric wisdom.
  • From 10:30am to 12:00pm once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, relax, or meditate.
  • From 12:30pm to 13:30pm take bus to Aguas Calientes.
  • From 13:30pm to 15:00pm take lunch at local restaurant in Aguas Calientes.
  • Return to Cusco: later board the train for the return trip to Cusco. You will stop at the Poroy station and then be picked up and driven to your hotel in Cusco.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco.

Day 7

Colorful San Pedro market - Cusco City Tour & archeological sites

  • Breakfast at hotel; at 10:00am pick up from the hotel, walking tour will begin at Colorful San Pedro market, there's probably no better market to experience Cusqueñan life. Enjoy a first-hand look at how local residents live day-to-day outside the postcard perfection of Cusco’s main square. The guide will explain the history of this market as you wander through the narrow aisles laden with colorful fabrics, meals, fruits, breads, crafts, shaman stalls, flower vendors, etc.
  • After you will visit Cusco's main square, a busy and vibrant space that marks the colonial center of the city; which features wide stone pathways and well-kept colorful gardens.
  • You will go down the narrow stairs on Hatun Rumiyoc Street. The walls of the palace have a snake and puma on it. Moreover, there you can observe the well-known 12 angle stone which is a symbol of perfection in Incan Architecture.
  • Around 12:30pm lunch at local restaurant.
  • Around 14:00pm we continue the tour; we will head to the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) upon which the Convent of Santo Domingo has been built. Interesting fact: according to a legend, this temple was entirely gold plated which left many conquerors impressed with its magnificence when they came here!
  • The tour continues with visits to 2 archeological sites: Sacsayhuaman is an archeological complex, a masterpiece of Incan architecture in which you will see mindboggling huge stone blocks, almost 9 meters in height that are still placed perfectly. Qenqo Temple is a temple dedicated to animal worship.
  • Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco.

Day 8

Flight to Amazon and Journey to Amazon River lodge

  • Breakfast at hotel. At 07:00am pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Iquitos city. You will be greeted by a guide upon your arrival and taken to the docks for a speed boat ride to the lodge. This journey will take almost 4 hours.
  • The main lodge of Amazonia on Tahuayo River is neither a hotel nor a resort but a comfortable rustic lodge suitable for all travelers.
  • This lodge has access to a wide range of different ecosystems which can be explored along with many downriver native communities.
  • After checking into the lodge you will be introduced to the many male and female native guides who will be available to help you explore your own interests from a list of available activities and tours. These personal guides are perfect for those individuals who prefer a personal approach to touring the Amazon.
  • There will be afternoon and evening excursions available to choose from.

Day 9 to 10

Amazon Exploration to your needs and interests

  • On both days, you will be able to select the activity of your interest.
  • A great variety of activities are offered by the lodge in and around the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo Reserve. Examples are swimming with pink dolphins, fishing for piranha, flying through the treetops on a canopy zipline, visiting native villages, having a session with a native shaman, visiting manakin lek, hiking to pygmy marmoset trees or canoeing into hoatzin rookery just to name a few.
  • The activities selection can be discussed with your guide. No added costs for private guided tours or customized tours are necessary. Here is a sample of activities you can enjoy:
  1. Visiting the El Chino native village, schools, farms, shaman and artesania cooperation.
  2. Taking a motor boat ride towards Lake Charo to look at the pink dolphins, watch raptors, sloths, monkeys and squirrels, go swimming, go fishing for piranhas.
  3. Visiting ziplines and canopy platforms.
  4. Taking a motor boat ride to Terra Firme Forest and go for a hike in frog valley. You may be able to see poison dart frogs. During the boat ride, you can look at wooly monkeys and can hand them bananas. You can also witness a bat cave and can even hike through it if you want to.
  5. You can go on a canoe in the flooded forest known as Tahuampa forest. While canoeing, you can see caiman, horned screamers and hoatzin birds.
  6. You can take a hike towards Lake Tapaje and explore it on a canoe.
  7. Hiking behind the lodge to Varzea forest and most likely witness barber bees, wore-tailed manikins, yellow crowned brush tailed rates, owl monkeys and pygmy marmosets.
  • Note: All the excursions last from 2 to 3 hours depending to the water level and the weather conditions.

Day 11

Departure from the Amazon - Flight to Lima

  • Your choice of a morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River or time to relax until departure time.
  • After lunch you will back to Iquitos city; transfer to airport (the last lunch includes if the departure time of the flight is after 19:00pm).
  • Flight to Lima and journey home or on to your next destination.
  • Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch.
