This tour package is perfect for families who want to experience the glorious ruins of the Inca but are short of time. The 7-day tour package will take you from ancient Incan capital of Cusco, a perfect blend of modern and classical architecture, to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and finally the lost city of Machu Picchu. Day 1 – Arrival to Cusco and Cusco Walking Tour
On arrival in Cusco, assistance at the airport and transport to your hotel, where the rest of the morning is free time to rest in hotel in order to avoid altitude sickness.
Pick up from the hotel at 2:00PM. Our first stop will be in the San Blas neighborhood that has artisans and a church which contains intricately carved woodwork. You will descend the narrow stairs in the Hatun Rumiyoc Street. The Inca Roca palace is situated on this street and is also called Palacio Arzobispal. The walls of the palace have a snake and puma on it. Moreover, there you can observe the well-known stone that has 12 angles which reflects a picture of the perfection in Incan Architecture. Then you will go to Cusco’s Main Square. On entering the Cathedral, you will see beautiful woodwork and many colonial paintings that contain detailed Incan iconography. You will also visit the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over top this temple’s foundations: the church of Santo Domingo that is still there today. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco

Day 2 – Cusco Horseback-Riding Tour
Breakfast at hotel, pick up from the hotel at 9:00AM and you will be driven a 20-minute scenic distance to the horse ranch. You will be assigned your horse upon arrival and provided a helmet (optional). You can trot in the breathtaking countryside on the city outskirts ad absorb the ancient atmosphere. While riding you can imagine the way the Inca people lived several centuries ago. You can then travel through the conventional Andean villages and witness locals busy in their routine lifestyles. Our first stop will be in the Sacsayhuaman archeological complex, a masterpiece of Incan architecture in which you will see mindboggling huge stone blocks, almost 9 meters in height, placed perfectly. Next is the Qenqo temple, dedicated to animal worship. Then, Puca Pucara, another Incan archeological site located on top of a hill and used as a fort and administrative center. Last, there is Tambomachay, a place also known as the Inca Baths. Then we back to Qenqo you can leave your horse there and return to the hotel in Cusco in private transport. Day 3 – Mountain biking at Sacred Valley
Breakfast at hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:30AM and transfer to Sacred Valley; our tour cycling begins in Cruzpata, a small town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, following a trail that leads to Huaypo Lagoon and to the Incan botanical laboratory at Moray. The area is so large that at least 3000 plant varieties, including potatoes and corn, could have been grown. Back on the bikes, we move to the town of Maras, we will then head to visit the biggest salt pans in the region that have been mined continuously since the Incan Empire. You will stop there for a delicious picnic lunch. After this brief rest, it’s all downhill around 30 minutes until you reach Pichingoto. Cross the bridge over the Urubamba River which is the end of the enjoyable day ride. Back to Cusco – Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco

Day 4 – Inca Trail: Km 104 to Aguas Calientes
Breakfast at hotel; you will be picked up from your hotel at 5:40AM transfer to Poroy station to catch the train that will take you to KM 104 (Chachabamba). Here you can quickly take in the beautiful fountains as we move on to begin the 5 hours long climb to the Inca Trail. This route will have you enjoying the most magnificent views of the great valley and beautiful waterfall which is in the vicinity of the splendid site Wiñay Wayna, which means “Forever Young”. You will see many of the most amazing Inca Trail sites branded with ritual baths and finely curved terraces. On reaching the Inca Trail we continue on it through slim paths surrounded by lush greenly made up of broad-leaf plants and huge ferns. The steep mountain edge adds to the excitement. All of a sudden the stone threshold of Intipunku (Sun Gate) shows up along your path and you face truly memorable scenery; a blend of natural beauty and man’s creativity, in the form of the enchanting city of Machu Picchu framed by spiraling canyons and forested peaks. The final 45 minutes are spent walking down the royal flagstone pathway into Machu Picchu’s core. The first day ends at a local hotel in a small town named Aguas Calientes where we reach by bus. Day 5 – Sunrise in Machu Picchu & Train back to Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel; at 5:00AM take first bus to Machu Picchu citadel, you will ride a bus to Machu Picchu archeological site and tour every nook and cranny of this New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site: an unforgettable experience. Your guide will expertly direct you throughout the astounding ruins and its main streets. You can then wander around the town squares as well as climb the intricately carved stairways made of stone. Machu Picchu is considered as the world’s spiritual center by esoteric wisdom. Once the guided tour is over, you will have some free time to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate.
You will then have time to indulge in a few of the following activities on your own (not included in the price)
– Climb up Huayna Picchu and appreciate the beauty and magnificence of Machu Picchu from there.
– You will be given some time to walk till the Sun Gate or Inti Punku.
– Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes include a visit to the new local museum or to the hot springs.
Train to Cusco: You will descend to Aguas Calientes and, later on, board the train for the return trip to Cusco. On reaching Cusco train station, reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Hotel in Cusco

Day 6 – River Rafting at Urubamba River
Breakfast at hotel; you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:45AM and will be driven around one hour to the shores of Upper Urubamba River that has a private campground called Cusipata River Camp. Our Professional Rafting Guides, provided by us will tell you some safety tips and will provide you with the appropriate rafting equipment. You will float for about two and a half hours while running rapids of class II and III. In the rainy season that occurs from December to early March, you may see rapids of class IV and IV plus. You will then be taken to the Cusipata River Camp for a hot sauna and then a hot shower and delicious lunch. You can also so a Zip-line on the 4 cables above the river if you wish to. In the afternoon you will be picked up by our private transportation and driven back to the city of Cusco.

Day 7 – Departure from Cusco – International Departure
Breakfast at hotel; there are no activities scheduled on the final day of this trip and you are free to leave at any time.
At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima for International connection.
