![]() Day 01 - International Arrival in LimaAssistance at your arrival to Lima International airport and transfer to your hotel, there you will receive a briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip. Meals Included: None Day 02 - Flight to Puerto Maldonado / Tambopata LodgeBreakfast at your Hotel; Tambopata Parrot Clay Lick & Tres Chimbadas Lake 4 Day /3 Night trip, pick up from the Hotel and transfer to the Lima airport to your flight to Puerto Maldonado, upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel to our office in Puerto Maldonado where the formalities of registration will take place, then drive along a dirt road to reach the Port of Native Community of Infierno where we board the boat along the Tambopata River to reach our lodge located on the banks of the Tambopata River inside the buffer zone of the Tambopata Candamo and the Bahuaja Sonene National Park. We appreciate cañabravales, cecropias, ficus, as well as the fauna such as birds which live close to the rivers. We may see weaving birds with their nests high up in the trees, and garzas along with a number of different other types of birds which may cross our path in flight such as macaws, parrots and tucans. In the afternoon the guide will lead you on a walk to observe the flora and fauna in the vicinity of the lodge. Return to the lodge for a delicious traditional Dinner and overnight. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Day 03 - Colpa La Torre / Native Community Farm / Tres Chimbadas Oxbow LakeBreakfast at the lodge; early morning we take the boat to observe the activity of the birds (psitácidos, macaws, parrots and parraquits) at the nearby clay lick where we occasionally we get the chance to see deer, capybara and squirrels as well. The “ Then we visit Native Community Farm; this region local people practice traditional methods of farming. You will have the opportunity to learn about farming directly from a local farmer and will get an introduction to the various exotic fruits of the Amazon such as copazú, arazá, pijuayo, and yuca, as well as species such as, el pajillo y sacha cilantro. Also found on the farm are various medicinal plants like el piñón, caña caña, piri piri, all of which are commonly used by people in the communities. Return to the lodge to enjoy lunch before travelling downriver for 15 minutes to start a 45 minute walk to reach the Tres Chimbadas Lake. On the lake we will board a traditional catamarán which functions with oars. Various birds such as the shanshos, pato aguja, garzas, martín pescador, some reptiles and mammals make use of the lake. Also importantly the lake is home to a family of Giant River Otters which means we frequently get the chance to observe them. Giant river otters are an endangered species and many people come to this region of the rainforest in order to catch a glimpse of them in their natural environment. There will also be a demonstration of the traditional fishing methods during which you may get the chance to see the famous Piraña fish. In the afternoon back our lodge. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Day 04 – Tambopata / Cocococha LakeBreakfast at the lodge; is found inside the Tambopata National Reserve, and occupies an area of 60 hectares. If you put together the beautiful landscape, the high biodiversity in the area and the isolation of the lake, it is certain that the lake represents an important habitat for many species. Thus providing valuable food sources and allowing for the reproduction of various endangered species, many of which are emblems of the Amazon such as the macaws, the black caiman, and the giant river otter. As you will appreciate this lake represents a very special place giving you the chance to experience some unspoilt tourism. At dusk accompanied by your guide where you will have the chance to enjoy the night time noises, a storm or the southern constellations such as the scorpion, and the Southern cross. We will take a reflector with us in the boat just in case we come across the night time activity of the caiman, capybaras, chotacabras in the River Tambopata. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Day 05 - Departure to CuscoBreakfast at the lodge; we return to our office in Puerto Maldonado before leaving for the airport, where your guide will help you with the requirements for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel, free day to get acclimatized Meals Included: Breakfast Day 06 - Cusco SightseeingBreakfast at your hotel; morning free time to relax At 13:30 pick up from the Hotel; guided sightseeing tour in Cusco like Q'oricancha temple of Sun the most important shrines during the Incas time. Visit the Cathedral the most imposing church at the main square. The tour keeps going to Sacsayhuaman, this site is a megalithic work made by the Incas; it stands on a hill looming over the city to the north-yet even these enormous stones are filled with that extraordinary Inca perfection. The next sightseeing is named Q'enqo, it shows a singular limestone outcrop, which was used to religious cult. The tour finishes visiting Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Day 07 - Cusco / Sacred Valley / OllantaytamboBreakfast at your hotel; this tour is a full day visit to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, covering the visit Pisaq and Ollantaytambo archaeological sites. The first visit at the village of Qorao where is possible to take beautiful pictures of the landscapes from a lookout site. The next visiting is Pisaq (archaeological site and Indian market). Lunch at the Sacred Valley, after lunch, visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. Overnight at the Sacred Valley of the Incas Ollantaytambo Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 08 – Ollantaytambo / Km 82 / WayllabambaBreakfast at your hotel; Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 4 day, pick up from your Hotel at 07:00 drive to Km 82 which is the starting point of the Inca Trail. We begin our hike by crossing the bridge over the Urubamba River and walking along its left shore as it flows northwest. Following the trail along a flat terrain, we arrive in Miskay (2800m/9184ft), to then ascend and finally see, from the tallest part of an overlook, the impressive Inca city of Llactapata (2650m/8692ft). We continue trekking along the valley created by the Kusichaca River, gradually climbing for about five hours until we reach the community of Wayllabamba (3000m/9840ft), where we set our first camp. Total distance: 12 km (7, 47 miles) Estimated walking time: 5-6 hours Maximum altitude point: 3,000 m (9,840 ft) Day 09 – Wayllabamba / PacaymayuBreakfast early morning; we begin the most difficult part of the trek, which consists of an abrupt and steep ascent that stretches for 9 km along this climb. On the way to the first mountain pass, the Abra Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman´s Pass – 4200m/13776ft), we may see domesticated llamas and alpacas grazing on ichu, one of the few plants that grow at high altitude. We also cross an area of the so called cloud forest, which is the habitat for many different kinds of birds like hummingbirds and sparrows, and the Andean bear. We advise that on this day specially, your daypack is well stocked with candies, chocolates and coca leaves that will keep your sugar level high, and help with altitude sickness. After the pass, we descend into the Pacaymayu valley (3600m/11808ft), where we camp. Meals Included: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Day 10 – Pacaymayu / Wiñay WaynaAfter breakfast; we ascend again past the small Inca site of Runkuracay (3970m/13022ft). As we reach the second pass, the landscape opens onto spectacular new views to the snow peaks of the Pumasillo range. Then we descend towards Yanacocha and enter the cloud forest to finally arrive at Sayacmarca (3624m/11887ft). This is a beautiful complex made up of a semicircular construction, enclosures at different levels, narrow streets, liturgical fountains, patios and irrigation canals. Continuing up an easy climb to the third pass Abra Phuyupatamarca (3700m/12136ft), we go through an Inca tunnel to later arrive at the aforementioned pass and down to the complex of the same name. Continue our trek down the long descending stone steps that lead us to Wiñaywayna (2650m/8692ft), an impressive Inca complex made up of an agricultural center with numerous terraces, a religious sector and an urban sector, close to which our camp is located. Total distance: 16 km (9, 94 miles) Estimated walking time: 8 hours Maximum altitude point: 3,900 m (12,792 ft) Day 11 – Wiñay wayna / Machu PicchuBreakfast very early; we wake up at 04:00 an hour later and climb to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) from this fabulous spot, we may see the sunrise over the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu 2,400 m (7,872 ft). From here we descend into Machu Picchu, 40 minutes later we enter the citadel from the highest point through the “House of the Guardians”. We then descend to the control point where we register ourselves and leave our backpacks. We immediately begin a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel that will take approximately two hours. You will then have free time to walk around, climb the Wayna Picchu Mountain, where one can experience spectacular views of all of Machu Picchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or visit the Temple of the Moon or the impressive Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we meet in the town of Aguas Calientes where we take the train back to the city of Cusco and transfer to your hotel Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
