Lima,
Cusco, Pisac Indian Market and Ollantaytambo Fortress, Machu
Picchu.
Spend a week retracing the steps of the ancient Inca civilization,
highlighted by the spectacular Citadel of hike to Machu Picchu.
Day 01: Lima reception.
Upon arrival at the airport a host will meet and assist you
in transferring to the hotel and help you in registering.

Day 02: Flight Lima/Cusco & City Tour
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival
at the airport a host will meet and assist you in transferring
to the hotel and help you in registering, free morning to
get acclimatized. At 13.30 in the afternoon, City Tour in
Cusco walking to the Cathedral which it’s interior
and exterior frontage is renacentist style. Inside, you
will find beautiful cedar wood statues, like the chorus
and the pulpit, as well as the paintings of the Cusco School,
and some objects made on silver. You will also visit Koricancha
or sun temple; nowadays is the Santo Domingo Church. Then
you will go to the four surrounding ruins like the Sacsayhuaman
fortress, Qenqo, Puca-Pucará and Tambomachay. Return
to hotel
Free time for meals
Day 03: Sacred Valley of the Incas
Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, by
the Vilcanota River. We will have the opportunity to share
closely the peasants' customs and bargain with vendors at
the typical indian market of Pisac, held on Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Sundays. Lunch in a local countryside restaurant. After
lunch, passing through the Towns of Calca and Urubamba,
we visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo,
built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley,
and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in
the Lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped
carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. Later
on you can walk through the quaint streets of the nearby
Town, and get a good idea of what this Strategic Military,
Religious, and Agricultural Centre was like during the era
of the Inca Empire. (Lunch Included).
Free time for dinner
Day 04: Machu picchu Wonder – Overnight
You will be picked up at your Cusco hotel and transferred
to the nearby train station for the train journey to the
mysterious lost city of Machu Picchu. The journey is picturesque
but the train is slow as it zig zags its way out of the
Cuzco Valley, before travelling along the banks of the Urubamba
River. The nearest village to Machu Picchu is called Aguas
Calientes and this is where you will leave the train and
drop your bags off at your hotel, and then take a 25-minute
bus ride up to the site (included). Your first views will
be of Huayna Picchu (“Young Mountain”), which
towers above the ruins. It is possible to climb this mountain
but it is a hard climb to the spectacular view from the
top (takes about 50 minutes). Before you enter the site
there is a cafeteria, luggage storage and toilets. Your
local guide will give you an approx 2½ hour guided
walking tour of the ruins explaining all about the culture,
the buildings and the lifestyle of the Incas. After your
tour you will then have free time to explore the ruins at
your leisure. You will be issued with a transfer ticket
and you can catch the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes.
Depending on the amount of time you wish to have at the
ruins will determine if you have time to visit the nearby
hot springs (entrance fee not included), located just behind
the town of Aguas Calientes.

Day 05: Back to Cusco
This morning is free for you to visit the hot springs or
visit Machu Picchu (instead of on Day 1). Alternatively
you may wish to visit the ruins twice although only one
entrance ticket and return bus ticket is included in the
tour price. Most trains depart Aguas Calientes between 4.00pm
and 5.20pm and the return train journey will take approx
4½ hours, arriving in Cusco sometime between 8:30
– 9:30pm.

Day 06: Cusco to Lima (Airplane). And city tour
in Lima
Transfer to the Cusco airport for a flight to the Peruvian
capital, reception at the airport and transfer to the Hotel.
At 2:15pm we’ll pick you up from your Hotel. The city
tour begins with the visit to the Plaza the Armas, which
has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Running
along two sides are arcades with shops: Portal de Escribanos
and Portal de Botoneros. In the centre of the Plaza is a
bronze fountain dating from 1560. Located in the Plaza is
the Cathedral, note the splendidly carved stalls, the silver
covered altars surrounded by fine woodwork, mosaic covered
walls bearing the coats of arms of Lima and Pizarro. Next
to the Cathedral is the Archbishop's Palace. Then you'll
visit the the XVII century Monastery of San Francisco, this
is famous for the Sivillian tilework and panelled ceiling
in the cloisters, the catacombs under the church and part
of the monastery are well worth seeing, You'll visit the
old colonial streets in the centre of the city, and the
modern Lima with the district of San Isidro and Miraflores.

Day 07: Flight at home
Transfer from hotel to the airport for your flight to Lima
and then take your connecting flight to home.
