The entrance fee to Tambopata National Reserve (TNR)
is not included in our programs:
Price for Capibara programs US$ 10.00 per person.
Price for Chuncho and Colorado Macaw Licks US$ 30.00 per person.

to all our rooms.
Lodge services include:
• Dining room for 70 people, with bathrooms.
• Bar for 70 people with board games and gift shop.

• Telecommunications: Radio and satellite phones.
• Complete camping equipment for trips into the forest.
• Duffle bags available for personal items. Baggage
storage at our office
in Puerto Maldonado and at the lodge.
• Personnel for all transfers.
For transport on rivers and lakes:
• Fiber glass speed boats with outboard motors for 3
to 18 passengers.
• Wooden canoes with outboard motors for expeditions
to macaw licks.
• Small fiber glass catamarans and canoes for lake excursions.
Trail network
• We maintain more than 25 kilometres of forest trails.
Some suggestion to bring:
Health and Safety: On arrival your guide will inform
you of things to do and what not to do when around the lodge
and in the forest. Malaria is endemic to the forest. We suggest
you come prepared with plenty of insect repellent and your
and anti-malaria medication. Yellow Fever: Present thought
not common. Vaccination certificates are always checked on
arrival at the airport in Puerto Maldonado, so ensure yours
is up to date before you arrive. Vaccination free of charge
at airport in Puerto Maldonado.
Clothing: For walks in the forest bring:
light weight, tight weave, loose fitting, long pants, long
sleeved shirts, a brimmed hat, hiking or tennis shoes. Rubber
boots are available but in limited sizes only. T-shirts,
shorts and sandals/light socks are recommended for use around
the lodge. It can get cool in the early morning, especially
when on the river, a wind jacket, and pullover should be
brought. Rain gear, Come prepared with an appropriate rain
jacket or poncho, rain can be heavy at times. Rain ponchos
are available at the lodge, but for use only on the trails.
Swimming suits for the Gallocunca stream and lakes.
Personal Items: Apart from items of individual
importance like books, toiletries, etc. we recommend the
following as essential:
Sun screen, flashlight/batteries, day pack, water bottle,
personal medications, sunglasses, binoculars, pocket knife,
passport, zip lock bags, energy snacks, insect repellent,.
Additional items for those planning to visit the Tambopata
Macaw Clay Lick: Duffel bag with a waterproof lining (or
heavy duty plastic bag) to carry items sensitive to moisture.
Waterproof case for your camera. Towel and swimming gear.
Personal Information: The marine authorities
request the full personal information of the passengers
like names, surnames, nationalities, passport number, ages,
a day prior to your trip in order to get the sailing permit
for the boat leaving to our TJL.
Luggage: You need not bring everything
with you to the lodge. Your trip will be more relaxing if
only the essential are brought. WE SUGGEST YOU PREPARE A
DAY BEFORE YOUR TRIP A LARGE DAY PACK, whole contents can
be left behind at the lodge during your stay and which can
be used during your forest excursions. YOU MAIN LUGGAGE
CAN BE LEFT IN OUR STORE ROOM IN PUERTO MALDONADO IN A A
SEPARATE BAG.
Beverages: A fully stocked bar serving
soft drinks, beer, bottle water, wine and spirits is available
at extra cost. Coffee/tea are on constant supply throughout
your stay without charge.
Photography: If you are planning to bring
your camera we recommend that you use film of 400 ASA or
higher for the twilight world under the canopy. Normal 100
ASA can be used when out on the river or lakes Protect your
equipment against moisture with waterproof cases.
Tipping: guiding staff and lodge personal,
is acceptable, at your discretion, when you feel they have
gone beyond their normal job requirements and should be
compensated by you for it.
