The Guide was wise, mellow and good humor, excellent. Better food than in the restaurants, very mellow and have a good humor, excellent. The porters were very helpful, and smiling all the time, excellent, keep up the good work.

Choquequirao is an exceptional look at how intricate the Inca Culture once existed ... without hordes of tourist, buses and cafés. The ruins are remote and the trails challenging, but an absolute life changing experience. Great food and unexpected subtleties in service were a great surprise. Authentic Peruvian hospitality was extremely enjoyable and integral to the whole experience. I loved the camaraderie between the cooks, horseman and chef and appreciated their honest hard work.

The trek with sun gate tours was quite an experience. The landscape in Choquequirao was breath taking and the Inca ruins were very interesting and well worth the long … hike. I was very impressed with the food that the guides provided and they were very helpful on the trails ensuring that everyone was well taken cave of. I must say the whole experience and would highly recommend it for people who are looking for a great adventure that is filled with challenges.

The Inka Trail hike organized by Sungate was terrific our guide Freddy was great, as were our porters. The organization equipment annd food were all top-notch (complements to the chef!). I would recommend Sungate to anymore planning a trekking trip to Peru.

Fiquei muito impressionado com a organização e estructura da agência Sun Gate Tours, o que me trouxe muita satisfação durante e após a trilha Inka. Os guias eram muito bons, atenciosos e cuidadosos. Muito me impressionou o guia Wimber, sempre muito brincalhão e divertido, porém sempre responsável e preocupado em informar sobre a cultura Inka. Gostaria de parabenizar a toda a equipe de carregadores. Todos os rapazes estão de parabéns pela sua educacão, gentileza e por serem sempre muito prestativos. A comida foi muito boa, nunca fui tão bem alimentado em um passeio!

Hi David,
Thanks very much for the jpeg map and for a wonderful week.
The food was superb, the varying landscape and altitudes very beautiful and interesting. Climbing up and down through the various zones allows you to really appreciate the importance of this to peoples lives. We were grateful for the extra horse and for the effort made to allow us to make this trek. I unfortunately got a bad cold and my son was not quite up for this route, so making it possible for us both to ride part way on days 4 and 5 made a great trip. Choquequirao is a wonderful site and it is a privilege to see it in its isolation as we did. The tent was comfortable and we slept quite well. The hostel in S. Theresa was fine; the room in Aquas Calientes was just wonderful [and lots of hot water]. And arriving after a good rest on the first bus up to Machu Picchu was perfect - we had the site relatively free of crowds for several good hours.

David, this was a wonderful week, and I hope we can return to Peru soon again. And we will certainly call upon you.
