If any of the 4 third party costs listed above change to increase the cost of the trek we will immediately update the trek price listed on our website. We will email all of our clients effected by the price increase who will be liable for paying the increased cost of the Lares trek upon arrival in Cusco.

Single supplement: No charge.
If you are traveling singly and prefer to share accommodations, we will pair you with another person of the same gender and there will be no supplementary charge. Requested Single Tent: If you prefer to have guaranteed single tent, the surcharge is $25.

Students: We have $15 discount for students (students require a valid International Student Identity Card - ISIC . Please beware that Youth Travel Cards are not valid). Youth travel cards or ISTC cards are not accepted. Failure to present a valid student card to the entrance control results in a loss of permit and denied entrance to the Machupicchu.

Payment details: We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$200 per person payable Sun Gate Tours confirming your trek booking. The deposit is to be paid by Our VISA Payment On-Line, Western Union money transfer and Bank Transfer, these are our fastest & most secure form of payments in Peru. Further details of how to send the deposit are included with our trek booking confirmation email. The remaining balance is to be paid in our office at least two days prior to your trek departure date. Payment can be made in cash US$, local currency (Peruvian Soles).

What is included: (in both options 4 and 5 days Trek)
- Collection from your hotel in the morning of trek departure
- Private bus from your hotel to the start of the trail
- Machu Picchu entrance fee.
- English speaking professional guide (two guides for groups over
  9 persons).
- Igloo tents - 2 persons in each 3-people-capacity tent, to allow for higher   comfort and a safe keeping of backpacks. Our tents are 3-season, 2008-
  new, highly maintained to ensure an excellent performance in field.
- Double thickness foam mattress
- Cook and Cooking equipment
- Meals as indicated in the itinerary (optional vegetarian food)
- Teatime (tea, coffee, biscuits, popcorn)
- Horses (for equipment and personal items) including horsemen
- 1 emergency horse every 2 persons.
- Dining tent with camp tables and chairs & Kitchen tent
- Accommodation for our crew
- First aid kit including emergency oxygen bottle
- Bus from Aguas Calientes - Machu picchu - Aguas Calientes
- Bus from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
- Train ticket (Backpackers service) from Ollantaytambo to Aguas
  Calientes - Ollantaytambo.
- 1 nigth accommodation in Aguas Calientes(Varayoc/Mi Pequeña Casita).
- Transfer from the train station to your hotel.

What is not included:(in both options 4 and 5 days Trek)
- Breakfast on the first morning.
- Lunch on the last day: after the guided tour at Machupicchu, you can
  enjoy free time to further visit the ruins and choose to have lunch either
  in Machupicchu or in Aguas Calientes.
- Entrance to the thermal springs in Lares (value 10 soles)
- Sleeping bags (can be hired in our office for US$5 per day)
- Tips for the guide, cook and porters (A good rule of thump is anywhere
   from $5-10 dollars per day).

Additional information:
(1) The accommodation in Aguas Calientes will be in a nice, clean and safe hostal with breakfast included and private bathroom (will be in Varayoc or Mi Pequeña Casita 2-star Hostal). But if you want to upgrade the hotel in Aguas Calientes please ask about it.
(2) During the trek we will have horses to carry the equipmet and personal things of passengers. It means you can put on the horse 7 pounds maximum per person, things like sleeping bag, clothes and some personal things.
(3) An extra night in Aguas Calientes can easily be arranged. We can change the date of your train ticket to the following day. Hotels costs and costs associated with returning to Machu Picchu the following day are additional to trek costs.
(4) Vegetarian Meals. We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know when you are booking the trek or at least 2 days prior to trek departure.
(5) Sleeping bag hire. If you haven't got a sleeping bag or you don't want the hassle of bringing one all the way to Peru with you, then we have sleeping bags in our office for rent. The price is US$5 per day.
(6) Personal horse for riding while on the trek with and extra cost of US$45, you can have a personal horse to ride any time you may need.

Other information:
(1) Luggage storage. When you go on the trek it is best to leave any luggage that you are not going to need behind in Cusco. Free and safe storage for your belongings while you are on tours in our office.
(2) Time of arrival in Cusco after returning from the trek. Unless you plan to stay an extra night in Aguas Calientes, you will return to your hotel in Cusco for approximately 8:30pm.

You should bring:
- A backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek
- Rain gear (jacket and pants if available) or rain poncho.
- Strong footwear, waterproof trekking boots recommended
- Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces. Thermal clothing is also
  recommended, especially for sleeping.
- Sleeping bag (it can be hired at our agency for US$ 5.00 / day)
- Flashlight and batteries
- Camera, films and batteries (batteries consume more quickly under cold
  conditions)
- Hat or cap to protect you from the sun, rain and cold
- Sun block
- After-sun cream or hydrating cream for face and body
- Insect repellent – minimum recommended 20% DEET – no malaria risk
  has been reported
- Toilet paper, pack in & pack out
- Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, raw fruits, muesli, etc.
- Non-disposable canteen (Nalgene type) and water for the first morning. 
  Optionally: water sterilizing tablets in case you pick up water from
  streams.
- Small towel
- Swimsuit (if you intend to go to the hot springs in Lares Town)
- Cash 250.00 soles or US$ 85 extra emergency money per person
- Original passport
- Walking sticks or poles.
