Just visit the website www.westernunion.com and follow the instructions. Visa and MasterCard can be used. The charge is less if you go directly to a local Western Union agent in your town and pay in cash. For countries other than those mentioned above you will have to go to the office of your local agent to pay the deposit.

You can withdraw cash in either US$ or Peruvian soles from one of the many ATM machines in Cusco (Visa, MasterCard, etc).

Important before to book: at the time we confirm your participation on this trek, we register your complete name and your passport number (as these appear on your trip application) with park authorities on the official trek permit. The trek permit is a legal document with specific restrictions limiting changes. You must bring this same passport with you on the trek.

NOTE: If for any reason you organize a NEW PASSPORT after we have purchased your permits, you must bring with you, the old passport otherwise, 2 very clear copies of the old passport along with your new passport on the trail. If not the control will refuse your entrance fee.

IMPORTANT: Possible changes to Inca Trail trek price 2008:
The above Inca Trail prices are based on the following third party costs which are outside of our control:
1.- Inca Trail entrance fee is 241 Peruvian Soles, about US$80 (US$30 discount for students with ISIC cards and children 16yrs) and 41 Soles, about US$14 for all of our porters. The price paid for the entrance fee is clearly marked on the trek permit. This price includes entrance to Machu Picchu. So far the government has not confirmed the price of the trek permit for 2008. Personally we don't think the price of the trek permit will increase in January or March, but it is very likely that the government will raise the cost of the trek permit to around US$100 from April or May onwards.
2: Included in the price of the trek is the return on the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo on the Backpacker train which currently costs US$46 per person. (details of service and price can be checked on the Peru Rail website www.perurail.com) The Peru Rail website states that they reserve the right to change the price at anytime. Peru Rail have not announced their prices for 2008. However we expect the price to increase by about US$20 (this would be an increase of 50%).
3. Local sales taxes known as IGV are included in the price of the Inca Trail trek. The currently rate of IGV is 19%. It is not anticipated that this rate will increase during 2008
