Explore
the ancient paths of the last refuge of the Incas. This expedition
will take you to two of the major archaeological sites in
the Cusco Choquequirao & Machu Picchu 9 days Trek.
Day 01: Lima reception.
Arrive in Lima at any time. Free time for meals.
Day 02: Lima - Ballestas islands - Reserve of
Paracas – Nasca.
At 6:30 a.m we will pick you up from your hotel to the bus
station, at 7:30 am, we will go to the city Paracas, transfer
to the mole where you will take a motorboat marine excursion
to the Ballestas islands. Transfer to the hotel and overnight
in the selected Hotel. Lunch included.

Day 03: Nasca - Overflight Nasca Lines
Transfer where is the small plane (Avioneta), where we will
admire the famous Nazca lines. Cut into the stony desert
are large number of lines, not only parallels and geometrical
figures, but also designs such as a dog, an enormous monkey,
a bird with a wing span of over 100 meters, a spider and
a tree. Free time for meals
Day 04: Flight to Arequipa
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. Upon
arrival at the airport a host will meet and assist you in
transferring to the hotel, at 2:00pm you will be picked
up from your Arequipa hotel. You will visit the Main Square,
the Cathedral, Churches, the Polychromated Dome, the districts
of Yanahuara, Santa Catherine Convent, Saint Francisco Church.
Transfer to the hotel.

Day 05: Arequipa - Chivay
Visiting on the way Pampas Cañahuas, the Mirador
of the Andes, the crater of Chucura, the Mirador of Chivay,
where pre-inca andens may be appreciated. Arrival to the
town of Chivay at 13:00hrs. in the afternoon free time to
visit thermal and medical baths of the Calera whose termo
medicinales waters oscillate between 35º to 38º.

Day 06: Chivay - Condor's Cross – Arequipa
Very early in the morning, drive to the Condor's Cross,
and natural observation point from where the magnitude of
the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the majestic
condor is appreciated. Back to Arequipa.

Day 07: Arequipa to Juliaca (Airplane)
Transfer to Arequipa airport, assistance on your arrival
in Juliaca. On your way to Puno, arrival to selected hotel
where you have free time to rest and get acclimatized to
the altitude

Day 08: Uros Floating Islands and Amantani Island.
We’ll pick you up from your Hotel around 7:30am then
we take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of
Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating "Islands"
of the Uros. We continue your motor boat trip to Amantani
Island. Overnight at the house of a local islander to enjoy
the hospitality of a typical Amantani home (Lunch and dinner
included).
Day 09: Amantani Island and Taquile Island - Puno.
Late morning, you take a motor-boat to Taquile Island, also
inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed
efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand
weaving techniques, down through the generations. After
lunch at a local Taquile inn, take a walk through the various
hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island.
Back to Puno

Day 10: Bus to Cusco.
Transfer to the bus terminal to head off to Cusco. Beautiful
scenery all along the way, visit of the Raqchi and archeological
sites as well as Andahuaylillas village and its famous "Sixtine
Chapel" that was built in the middle of the 17th century.

Day 11: Cusco - City Tour half day from 1:30 to
6:30 pm
Free time in the morning. At 13.30 in the afternoon, City
Tour in Cusco walking to the Cathedral, then you will go
to the four surrounding ruins like the Sacsayhuaman fortress,
Qenqo, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. Return to hotel. Free
time for meals
Day 12: Cusco, Cachora to Chiquisca
At 4:30 am pick up from your hotel and travel to Cachora.
The walk starts quite flat with views to snow covered peaks
and small farms on the step mountainsides. From the viewpoint
of Capuliyoc, where we might see condors, the descent towards
the Apurímac Canyon starts. Campsite in Chiquisca
at 1550 masl Meals: B, L, D
Day 13: Chiquisca to Choquequirao Ruins
We start walking from here we continue the descent to the
abundant Apurímac River in 1550 m.a.s.l. in the impressing
deep canyon of the same name. After a short rest we continue
our hike going up to Choquekiraw. Campsite near at Choquequirao.
3033 masl. Meals: B, L, D
Day 14: In Choquequirao
We have the entire day to explore this stunning Inca settlement.
As mysterious as Machu Picchu, its name means “Cradle
of Gold” - Choquequirao. Meals: B, L, D
Day 15: Choquequirao to Maizal
On this day we walk uphill for a while up to 3299 masl considered
as a first pass and then descend to Rio Blanco, 1909 masl.
From Rio Blanco we climb up to Maizal for about 3 hrs. Camp
at 3000 masl. Meals: B, L, D
Day 16: Maizal to Yanama
From here we start walking uphill passing by the impressive
inca mines called Minas Victoria nad towards the Victoria
Pass, while we had lunch we will be able to appreciate the
flight of the condores depending on the climate, before
we start the descent towards Yanama. We pass over 4154 masl
and finally descend to our campsite at 3800 masl. Meals:

Day 17: Yanama to Totora
We start climbing slowly to our higher pass 4668 masl, again
the view is amazing, and we are sorrounded by snowcapped
mountains the Mt. Sacsarayoj and Mt. Padreyoj. Once again
we have the chance to see condors, and this morning’s
smooth climb bring us through new. Hike through grassy fields
and crossing small wood/dirt bridges on the way towards
the community of Totora, where we spend the night.

Day 18: Totora to La Playa
On this day we descend to the Totora River. We walk the
about 2000 meters down through the changing vegetations
to the warmer camp in the village of La Playa. Approx. 7
hours walking. Campsite at 2125 masl. Meals: B, L, D
Day 19: La Playa - Aguas CalientesTown
From La Playa we start our climb of about 03 hours to Llactapata.
Then we will take the local train to Aguas Calientes which
will last 45 minutes, you may also wish to pay a visit to
the town's famous thermal springs which feel great after
finishing the trail. Spend the night in a Hostal.

Day 20: Machupicchu Full day and go back to Cusco
We start our visit with a 2-3 hours guided tour, that will
bring us to the most important locations at the archaeological
site and the guide will tell us about the great importance
Machu Picchu enjoyed as astronomical and religious center.

Day 21: Free time in Cusco
Free time in Cusco, final day in Cusco. You will be on your
own today.

Day 22: Flight to Lima & City Tour
Transfer to the Cusco airport for a flight to the Peruvian
capital, reception at the airport and transfer to the Hotel.
In the afternoon we visit the Lima City. You'll visit the
old colonial streets in the centre of the city, back to
the hotel. Free time for meals
Day 23: Flight at home
Transfer from hotel to the airport for your flight to Lima
and then take your connecting flight to home.
